| Shortly we turn south down the farm
track to Heathtolt Farm. At the farm gate we are warned to beware of children playing and
to put our dogs on leads (for their own protection presumably). This is a working farm,
so, please, no complaints about the aroma or the thigh deep mud. Having survived the slurry we can relax into our task as we climb the wooded Heathtolt ridge. Under the hornbeam, oak and hazel can be found Lilac Bonnet Cap, and at least two species of Earthball. |
